Lakeside and lake facing deluxe A/C cottages and family cottages
provide maximum relaxation and peace of mind in a pollution free
atmosphere. Experience the spectacular beauty of the lake and sunset
from the cottage, with beautiful houseboats drifting passed on the
lake and see all types of activities of the Vembanad Lake from your
cottage. There are around 400 meters of floodlit walkers path, major
part of the path is around the organic farm, Have your relaxing walk
through the walkers path at any time during day or night, will keep
you more active and physically fit. Enjoy the beautiful songs of many
birds, If you are going for a relaxing walk in the early morning, some
times you may see, over the lake, the rare moon set also. Food and
beverages will be served on the lakeside, and also on plantain leaf as

Leisure Activities
You can board your houseboat or any type of boat from the lakeside
cottages. Fishing rods and hammocks on the lakeside will be provided
for your leisure. Floodlit badminton court, table tennis, board games
like carambole and one side basketball court etc for the entertainment
of guests. Goose, souse, duck, turkey, gene and rabbits live at the
Resort, which gives lot of entertainment to guests. Bicycles will be
provided for exploring the small roads of kumarakom Village. We can
also organize visit to the surroundings area including the bird
sanctuary sight seeing etc. Practicing of yoga and meditation classes
on the lakeside will be arranged on request.
Eco Friendly and Pollution Free Resort
Entire property of the Resort is maintained as eco friendly and
pollution free, as is possible, You cannot see any garbage waste,
plastic bottles, bad smell etc. in the 1.50 acres of land.
Very Pleasant And Enjoyable Night
Night is also very pleasant at Illikkalam . You can enjoy the moon and
the stars over the lake and the beautiful fireworks, far away, on the
western side of the lake. Watch the activities of rabbit’s, goslings
and ducklings with their parents in the night, floodlit walkers path
around the organic farm will give you maximum freedom to move through
the entire property at any time. Enjoy the beauty of the lake, it’s
waves, the breeze and the fishermen’s activities in the night by
relaxing on the hammocks at the lakeside will be a unique experience.
Organic Farm
We have an eco friendly organic farm, where we grow many fruits such
as rose apple, black berries, cypress cherry, red tender coconut,
green tender coconut, different type of jambu, guava, lubica, papaya,
pineapple, mango, jack fruit, sugar cane, banana, 3 varieties of
plantain, rumboothan, leachy, fig, passion fruit etc. And vegetables
such as Elephant yam, colocasia, yam, tapioca, tomato, ladys finger,
bringal, gerkins, variety of amaranths, bitter gourd, tamarind, lentil
etc.
Fresh &Tasty Dishes From Organic Farm
We provide fresh fruits from the organic farm to the guests, for
breakfast and at the evening as per the order. Some of the fruits are
very good for diabetics and cholesterol reduction; We serve many tasty
and fresh dishes from the organic farm, as per your prior order for
break fast, lunch and dinner, our menu card provides details of all
the dishes from the farm.
We use only natural compost to grow the above. So all the items are
very tasty and good for health, as we don’t use chemicals and
pesticides.
Ayurvedic Plant
Ayurvedic plants and trees such as neem, cinnamon tree, all spices,
the madder plant, turmeric, ginger, henna, erick, other medicinal
herb, cuscus grass, rambha, elenji, nut meg, climbing plants, pepper
etc. are all grown in our organic farm.
